Nick Tanner, the founder, was raised in Fort Collins, Colorado after moving from Atlanta, Georgia, where he was born. Nick enrolled at Colorado State University in 2005 to pursue a business minor and a major in natural resource tourism. The brewery was conceived while the founder was residing on Cherry Street in Fort Collins. Nick and his roommate Zak created Cherry Street Brewing Cooperative, a homebrewing organization, in 2006. Nick discovered that beer is humble, social, and charitable. To assist his father, Rick Tanner, in running the business Rick Tanner's Chicken, Nick relocated back to Cumming in 2009. After a few successful years, Rick and Nick made the decision to start a brewery. Cherry Street Brewing Cooperative was established on December 12, 2012, following 11 arduous months of collaboration with Forsyth County. Book an event through Cherry Street Brewing Co. today!
