Owners Jeremy McBryde and Mark E. Walker started ComfortLA as a late-night, pop-up restaurant that takes a clean approach to soul food, and is all about building community. They use locally sourced, fresh, and organic ingredients as well as healthier cooking methods to create top-notch, Southern cuisine including their popular "Cousin Kina's Mac ‘n’ Cheese," "Clean Mean Greens," and their signature "Organic Not Your Average Fried Chicken" topped with their original “That Sauce.” ComfortLA offers a welcoming, laid-back ambiance bringing island vibes and Midwest hospitality to Downtown Los Angeles. A part of their restaurant's culture is serving "That Action," a way in which they interact with you that is warm and welcoming. It's the familiar feeling of being at your favorite relatives house for dinner.
