About Confetti System
Founded by Julie Ho and Nicholas Valite Andersen, a creative duo who work as artists, stylists, and designers, CONFETTISYSTEM is a collaborative effort. Their common interest in Communal Celebration and Craft-Making brought them together in 2008 to form the foundation of a new system. CONFETTISYSTEM transforms everyday materials like as tissue paper, cardboard, silk, and mylar into interactive objects that draw the viewer's attention to a single point of focus, sparking a spontaneous collaboration between the artist and the viewer. Nostalgia and lighthearted fun permeate the objects and installations, which occupy a space between the transient and the permanent in an attempt to capture the essence of both. CONFETTISYSTEM has created installations and provided art direction for brands such as Opening Ceremony, Maryam Nassir Zadeh, Lane Crawford, and Target, as well as performers such as Beyonce, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Beach House. CONFETTISYSTEM has also worked with artists such as Beyonce, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Beach House. The Sugar Mountain Festival, FYF Fest, BUBBLE T, and Papi Juice are among the events for which CONFETTISYSTEM has created custom work. Other clients include The New York Times, MoMA PS1, Standard Hotels, The American Ballet Theatre, Mercedes Benz, and the American Ballet Theatre. The duo's work has been shown in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Japan, and Australia, among other cities. CONFETTISYSTEM has been featured in a variety of publications, including The New York Times, New York Magazine, V Magazine, Interview Magazine, Teen Vogue, Office Magazine, Sight Unseen, and Dwell, to name a few examples.
