We at Edie Zuckerwar Events understand that planning the most important day of your life can be a stressful endeavor, and our primary goal is to alleviate some of the stress associated with the process. We'll assist you in making decisions, narrowing in on ideas, communicating your vision to vendors, and creating the kind of wedding that your guests will be talking about long after the event has concluded. Most importantly, we'll assist you in having a good time while doing it. Even though we have to admit that it is a lot of fun, we believe that the cake tasting should not be the only enjoyable part of the entire process. Because I am the owner and founder of Edie Zuckerwar Events, I am dedicated to ensuring that your wedding is everything you imagined. My team and I have over 20 years of combined experience planning weddings in the US Virgin Islands (St. Thomas and St. John) and the French Virgin Islands (St. Barths). When I made the decision to be a do-it-yourself bride, it was only a few months ago. After all, I had previously planned events and travel for Fortune 500 companies, so what could possibly be more difficult than planning my own wedding? The preparation phase went smoothly. Guests were able to book room blocks and private villas with relative ease. And, yes, I was even in charge of the honeymoon arrangements! Then, as the date for the wedding approached, everything began to fall apart. I worked full-time and was in charge of ensuring that all of the moving parts came together, and there were a lot of moving parts to coordinate. I quickly realized that there was no way I was going to be able to handle this on my own, but I had no choice because it was too late to hire a professional planner. I certainly did not feel comfortable enlisting the assistance of my family and friends. My husband was shuttle-driving guests around and generally assisting in any way he was able. Throughout the wedding, I served as the point of contact for the hotel, vendors, and my guests. It goes without saying that the wedding was a blur. Don't let something like this happen to you! Because of my personal experience, I wanted to start a business where I could work with couples who were planning destination weddings and give them the peace of mind knowing that someone was taking care of all the details so they could relax and enjoy their special day with family and friends. The Association for Bridal Consultants certified me as a Professional Wedding Planner, and I became a member of the organization. In 2005, I took my experience as a Certified Travel Consultant and Event Planner and combined them to form Edie Zuckerwar Events, which is still going strong today. My team and I have developed long-term relationships with the most dependable wedding vendors on St. Barths and in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and we are excited to be able to share their knowledge with you through this website.
