Since I can remember, I've given entirely too much thought to how things were made or how they looked. I have a remarkable attention to detail. As a child, I frequently became sidetracked by mess, awkward layouts, or ugly fonts on menus. My mom had subscriptions to Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, and Southern Living, which I would peruse in my free time. History served as my main source of inspiration when I was a teenager, partly because I enjoyed viewing wartime photographs or the nostalgia evoked by JFK in the White House. Photos have always had a way of transporting me to mental locations I would never otherwise be able to comprehend or have the chance to explore. They influence me. As well as design and art. I am fortunate to be able to make a living off of my interests. I have interests in many different areas, and the variety has helped me become a more well-rounded person as a father, friend, and business owner. I have degrees in leadership, communication, and theology. I've worked as a business consultant for a number of years, served as a pastor for even longer, written a book, learnt to fly, run a retail business, played music, and developed into a designer and educator. I enjoy learning. I enjoy a good quest. The folks I have met along the journey have been the best part of it all. I put in endless effort to help people. My method is photography most of the time. I prefer movies. But occasionally it's design or instruction. Whatever the method, I prioritize quality over quantity and am constantly seeking out collaborators who share my viewpoint. I've had the distinction of receiving and winning awards over the years, but none of them truly compare to my responsibilities as a husband to Joy and father to Brennan, Knox, Molly, and Sawyer.
