“ Cultivating his Passion and Molding his Destiny!! Darryl FollowtheDj Dungee AKA Mr. Turn the Heat Up; was born and raised on the tough streets of Baltimore City Maryland. No stranger to obstacles, music helped him to cope with the many tough–turning moments in his childhood. His love for music began at the age of 10 where the ever presence of industry artists like Toni Braxton, Me2U and Prophet Jones were around because of his godfather’s musical writer career. It was then that he learned about melody, bpm (beats per min) base lines, drums, turned into a passion. Creating music, evolved into an outlet and at the early age of 15, FollowtheDj “the brand” was born. Over a decade of grinding , FollowtheDj has produced an undeniable brand and follow ship. He has done this by performing at innumerable events throughout the DMV area to include but not limited to: The Baltimore Believe Tour, sponsored by the Baltimore City Mayors Office, Coppin College Tours that included industry artists such as TI and Keisha Cole, a variety of Night Club’s and Open Mic battles as well as private parties, sweet 16 birthdays’, and weddings. He has also performed dj and master of ceremony services for specialty shows, street festivals and fundraisers for his and surrounding communities. He currently is contracted for mobile Dj and master of ceremonies services for the Columbia Association in Columbia, MD. Two career highlights include: Performing for the Honor Roll students at Pimlico Middle School in Baltimore Maryland. An event to encourage the youth to stay in school and continue work hard to achieve good grades. And traveling to Dominican Republic to Dj for Carnival Cruise Line for 6 days. He has also work with the late Khia “Dj K-Swift” Edgerton and was featured on her album entitled, “Jump Off Vol. 8: Next Level Edition”. As well as Dj Rod Lee’s album titled, “Rod Lee the Producer”. Each album distributed by Unruly Records and Club Kingz. FollowtheDj has also worked with many different producers and artists within the DMV area to include: ● Rod Lee, who produced hits for (Boss-man, and Paula Campbell) ● Shawn Campbell, who has produced records for artist like (Missy Elliott, Avant and Karina Passion) ● “Street Heat” aka Todd Scott, who produced for artists like (Jeluez Santana’s, (Jim Jones and Jeluez Santana) ● IDB Productions own Teddy (The Bear) Davis, who has worked with artist such as (Don Jaun, Raheem DeVaughn, Ginuwine, Lil Mow and Dru Hill). ● Sean Banks and producer Don Trunk who has worked with artist like (Latoya Luckett, Gucci Man, Mims and Ace Hood) as well as provided dj services for 2 CHAINZ, and MEEK MILLS.
