Geraniums Red, Delphiniums Blue is a small flower company on the coast of Maine that specializes on eco-friendly weddings and events. Our design aesthetic is traditional and romantic. We adore bouquets that are inspired by gardens and ceremonies that are ageless. We work with each couple on an individual basis to help them realize their dreams. Hi! Hello, my name is Rue. For more than ten years, I've been creating floral arrangements for weddings. In 2019, I relocated my company from Boston to the Mid-Coast region of Maine. Here, I've discovered a fantastic community of wedding professionals who are eager to collaborate and who are as helpful as they are pleasant to be around. I've also discovered a plethora of local flower farms from where I can obtain the freshest and most environmentally friendly flowers possible. I collaborate with my couples to bring their visions for their wedding flowers to reality by bringing their thoughts to life through flowers. I am prompt in responding to enquiries and questions, and I make every effort to meet unique requests when they arise. During the course of my design process, I compost and recycle anything I can. When possible, I avoid using floral foam and instead go for locally sourced, seasonally appropriate flowers. My company is accessible to anyone who wants to work with me, and I fully support marriage equality. On a personal level, I am a vegan, an animal lover, and a complete nutcase. As a native Bostonian, sarcasm is my first and foremost language. When I'm not at work, I like to watch horror movies, go roller skating, and go kayaking. Those that have worked with me have described me as laid-back, dependable, helpful, and understanding. My friends might characterize myself in a same manner, but with a lighter tone.
