Gorgeous and Green

Gorgeous and Green was founded in 2008 with the goal of being environmentally responsible and sustainable in as many ways as possible while creating gorgeous items. We've been certified as a green business by Alameda County on a regular basis. We go above and above our green certifications, and we make every decision with the environment's and community's health in mind. The company began as an event design agency, specializing in weddings and other special events. Then, in 2010, we built a physical location in Berkeley, first on San Pablo Avenue, then on College Avenue. We met so many beautiful people and had a great time showing off our flowers, designs, and local assortment of artisanal goods. We closed our retail shop in early 2016 and converted to a studio florist and online store. After much thought and consideration, the choice was reached. When we have room, a clean mind, and calm, which are all qualities we lost with the retail shop, creativity flows more easily. The flowers and foliage we choose are all cultivated locally and, when possible, are organic or non-sprayed. We prefer to support local growers and farms who are doing their best to keep the Bay Area growing locally, and we especially enjoy supporting local organic growers who are equally concerned about the environment's health.
