It is from her childhood years in her native El Salvador that Olimpia Handal's multi-talented works and experiences in the event organizing industry began. She grew up in Aldeas Infantiles SOS/SOS Children's Villages International, an orphanage in the state of Sonsonate, where she learned to sing, choreograph, and perform in musical events since she was seven years old. She is now a professional singer and choreographer. By the age of 13, she was in charge of planning and designing events for civic and religious organizations, as well as Quinceanera parties for her foster sisters at the orphanage where she was raised. As a result of her artistic abilities, she was recognized with multiple accolades for her designs of Christmas cards, beautiful Easter carpet runners, piatas, and Nativity displays while in high school. She continued to decorate for events such as birthday parties, baby showers, and Quinceaneras for her friends and relatives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding area of Northern Virginia. Her love of the arts, original ideas, meticulous attention to detail, professionalism, and dedication to providing exceptional customer service have made her a valuable and sought-after event planner in the Washington Metropolitan region.
