Hella Fitzgerald -- from bebop to hiphop -- is a deluxe party band collective based in Northern California, specializing in vintage jazz and blues, classic soul, funk, R&B, 90's and contemporary songs. Showcasing some of the finest musicians in the region, Hella Fitzgerald transitions seamlessly throughout different eras with style and grace. Supporting events of any size, theme and budget, they incorporate songs by Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Lizzo, James Brown, Bruno Mars, and of course, Ella Fitzgerald. Collectively our musicians have played at festivals worldwide and have toured with Lauryn Hill, Lyrics Born, Fantastic Negrito, Michael Franti, Pete Escovedo, Sheila E, Tony Toni Tone, Goapele, and more. Though we work with some of the top agencies in the area, Hella Fitzgerald is a self-managed band. This helps us keep our prices low while providing a high quality experience. We typically begin our dance sets with upbeat Speakeasy jazz and swing also with New Orleans style jazz, followed by Classic Soul/Funk/R&B, and finishing off the night with more current, 90's and contemporary Top 40 songs. We can also work with themed events like 1920's, Great Gatsby, Speakeasy, Art Deco, Old Hollywood, James Bond, Casino, and more. Hella Fitzgerald is happy to accommodate requests. We can learn specific versions of songs (choreographed dances, special dances) upon request.

Our 6-piece band includes lead vocals, two horns, keys, bass, and drums with options to add-on, or swap other instruments in. Our most popular package is the Deluxe Wedding Package which includes music, and sound needs for all aspects of your day: ceremony, cocktail, dinner, and reception. Depending on the size of the event, or if there is a specific budget you are trying to stay within, we are also able to bring the band size down to a 3, 4, or 5 piece. We look forward to talking with you about the details of your event so that we can provide you with an accurate quote.

- Hella Fitzgerald’s standard setup is a 6 piece band that includes female vocals, keyboards, bass, drums, and two horns. We can always add on additional instruments to create the band of your dreams.

- Absolutely! We work with some of the finest musicians in the Bay Area who can handle all your musical needs for your big day. For ceremony, we’ve coordinated everything from acoustic guitar, keyboards, string quartet, harp, we’ve got it all! We also have a ceremony sound package that includes a wire
