Over the past 17 years, our owner, Cheryl Ward, has worked in numerous roles in the wedding industry. She learnt the ins and outs of planning and carrying out successful weddings while working for a catering firm in high school and college. From napkin folds and cutlery placement to the send-off, every element of a wedding was ingrained in her. Although weddings were enjoyable and labor-intensive, Cheryl had not realized they would become her true passion. After completing her undergraduate studies in psychology, Cheryl pursued a master's degree in public administration and human resources. A year after graduating, she realized that weddings, not degrees, were her true calling. Together with her sister Jaclyn, they founded It Takes 2 Event Planners and can now say that they genuinely like what they get to do every day. It Takes 2 Event Planners work with some of the best vendors in the business and have the ability to connect their clients with them to see which are the best fit for their event.
