Kelly Boyett Art

Since she could hold a paintbrush, self-taught artist Kelly Boyett, a native of Louisiana, has been leaving her creative stamp on the world. She gets inspiration from everything around her and incorporates her love for the vibrant southern culture into her current work, using the unique city of New Orleans as her muse. Some claim that one just needs to feel the energy to know it's there. Boyett, who specializes in live painting performances, also travels the globe to inspire and share her art. When she is not on location slinging paint, she can be found exercising her imagination in her Mid-City studio. Boyett uses a variety of media, but acrylic is her go-to material because of its adaptability and quick turnaround time. She does not, however, restrict herself to painting. Boyett prides herself on being a "Jill of all trades" and has a penchant for woodworking as well. Among many other things, she enjoys creating her own canvases, and she frequently boasts about her tool collection.
