Lovely Day Weddings & Events

Lovely Day Weddings & Events is a wedding and event planning company based in Jefferson, Georgia. It's about an hour and a half northeast of Atlanta, Georgia, where I live. Despite the fact that we are based in a small town, we enjoy traveling to weddings and other events. Sarah Copeland of Jefferson, Georgia founded Lovely Day Weddings & Events, which was previously known as "Simply Sarah." 2015 marked the first year that Sarah began planning and coordinating weddings. Sarah relocated from Savannah, Georgia, to Jefferson in the spring of 2013. Sarah and Paige met that summer while both were performing in the local community theater's production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Throughout the production, Paige had been dancing and acting, and Sarah had volunteered to do the Oompa Loompa's make-up and hair. During the fall of that year, Paige worked as Sarah's daughter's ballet instructor. Paige contacted Sarah for help with the planning of her Christmas wedding after she became engaged in the summer of 2017. Sarah was delighted to assist Paige. They quickly developed a friendship that extended beyond community theater and the dance studio where Paige worked to include each other's families. Sarah was devastated when Paige's wedding was over, because it meant that they would no longer be able to see one another as frequently as they had in the past. The fact that they would collaborate once more when it came to planning Paige's gender reveal party and baby shower was a no-brainer for both of them. Sarah and Paige happened to run into each other in the hallways of the same school during the 2019-2020 school year because their daughters were both attending the same school. Paige had asked Sarah if she would like to go for a morning walk on the track with her, and Sarah had always jumped at the chance to spend time with Paige! The more Paige and Sarah's friendship blossomed, the more time they spent together, and the more Paige thought about how much fun they had planning all of the major events in her life, Paige became more enthralled with the idea of how well they got along as a team. So Paige inquired of Sarah about her career as a wedding and event planner, and as the conversation progressed, Sarah inquired if Paige would be interested in shadowing her to learn the ropes, to which Paige enthusiastically responded, "YES!!" After several months of planning, learning, and lots of crafting, they made the decision to rebrand as Lovely Day Weddings & Events, and the rest is history.
