Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Lugener's Affair is a cutting-edge wedding and event planning company that also provides a full range of floral and decor services. We are a creative team of visionaries who are inspired by those once-in-a-lifetime experiences that happen to us all. We pair you with one of our carefully curated vendors, all of whom are leaders in their fields. The inspiration for this company came from a small-framed African American/Cherokee Indian woman who lived with her two sons, their wives, and eight grandchildren in a small house on a small plot of land. My grandmother was this extraordinary woman. She had a one-of-a-kind name, or should I say a number of names, which included Emma, Dora, Della, Estella, Lugener, and Isabella Moore-Heard. She made all of our clothes by hand, from beginning to end, including drafting patterns, designing patterns, and pressing the finished garment. She made do with whatever fabric she had on hand, including a white, decorative baking flour sack for added flair. She created craft projects for us to complete and instructed us on how to neatly cover our school text books with brown paper bags, which we learned from her. My Aunt Lillie Bell had a special talent for floral arrangements and decorating, which she shared with me. She taught me how to arrange flowers and decorate for a variety of different events, including weddings. With her guidance, I was able to improve my skills and become well-versed in all aspects of event planning. Among other things, I've created clothing and decorated venues for weddings, school activities, church events, anniversaries, and other special occasions. My ambition has always been to bring beauty into the world through what I see. These two women were instrumental in helping me turn my dream into a reality.
