New York Edge

The aim of New York Edge is to assist students from underserved neighborhoods in closing the opportunity gap by delivering programs that increase academic achievement, health and wellbeing, self-confidence, and leadership qualities that will prepare them for success in life. The work of New York Edge has been acknowledged by major companies as well as other financial partners. It is because of these collaborations that we are able to close the opportunity gap for thousands of children each and every day. Through academic performance, health and wellness, self-confidence, and leadership skills development, New York Edge closes the opportunity gap that kids in underinvested neighborhoods experience in order to achieve success in school and beyond. It is our mission to serve as a non-profit organization that is one of the major providers of afterschool programs in New York City and the surrounding metropolitan area. In grades K-12, we have an impact on approximately 40,000 kids from over 100 sites who are primarily from underprivileged communities. Year-round, programs are offered before or after the school day (including Saturdays, over the summer, and holiday periods).
