Orange County Harpist

A well-known solo harpist, Wendy can be found performing in the Southern California area. In addition to her time spent volunteering with the Saddleback Valley Community Orchestra, she spent ten years working for Disney Entertainment. She studied privately with Mrs. Grace Follet, who had previously served as the Chairperson of the Harp Department at Syracuse University in New York, for a total of twelve years. Follet was a pupil of the world-famous harpist Carlos Salzedo, who was born in France. Salzedo developed the "Salzedo Method," which is still used today. Follet was one of Salzedo's students. In addition, Wendy studied harp at the Juilliard School of Music under Mrs. Susan McDonald, who is the Senior Harp Director. Her beautiful Lyon & Healy and French Camac harps, both of which she had custom-made out of gold, add an extra dimension to her performances. She is continually adding contemporary music to her repertoire in order to perform pieces that are appropriate for any event. She is in demand as a performer for a wide variety of weddings, engagement parties, business events, cocktail parties, clubs, baby showers, yoga classes, charitable organizations, and other types of intimate gatherings due to her classical elegance. Her magnificent harp music has a broad appeal, and it is appreciated by audiences all around the state of California. In addition, Wendy offers individualized instruction for students of all ages, with the goal of assisting them in realizing their full potential. Her students have the option to finish the Certificate program offered by the Association Board of the Royals, which is recognized all around the world. Along with training for employment as harpists, students are strongly encouraged to participate in orchestras. Her harp studio offers the ability to rent harps as well as other instruments and accessories.
