Heather, the owner and creative director, is a dreamweaver. My first true love may have been bringing joy to others through hosting, baking, and entertaining. I grew raised in a home, more accurately a community, where food was a means of expressing love, and entertaining was always a natural extension of that. When I was younger, I began assisting my Grannan (the original hostess with the mostest) in throwing parties. She taught me a lot about elegance, kindness, and wit, as well as organization, DIY lunacy, and how to bake like a pro! My mother and stepmother also instilled in me a love of art, expression, invention, and passion, so it's safe to say that my family shaped me into the person and professional I am today. Prior to my ten-year career in events, I worked in a variety of eateries, ranging from dive bars to Michelin-starred restaurants. As a result, many areas of my work are influenced by the service business. I also have an interior design background, which I think comes in handy when it comes to event planning. As the daughter of a retired environmentalist, she had a natural interest in botanicals and floral design. In early 2018, my husband, Nathan, and I purchased a tiny OTP ATL acreage, and we love caring for it and making it our own. Maxwell Forest, our first kid, was born in July of this year, and our hearts are overflowing. The opportunity to begin developing our cut flower garden, as well as the extra time we were able to spend with our son, were definite silver linings to staying put. We're really looking forward to our first harvest this spring! Jolene, Yoshimi, and JJ are three mystical beasts - one dog, one cat, and one cat that believes he is a dog. Hosting a dinner party with friends and family, replete with kitchen dancing, board game play, and my husband's delectable cocktails, is my idea of a perfect evening. A calm night on our small homestead with only my boys, our furbabies, and that huge open sky is also something I treasure. ​
