MJ started Petal DC as a creative outlet while working as an event coordinator for two nearby restaurants. She graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York City with a degree in fashion design. She has experience in a range of fashion-related fields, including styling and visual merchandising. MJ learnt all there was to know about flowers from a former manager while working as a visual merchandiser at Saks Fifth Avenue. Since then, she has developed a passion for floral styling and setting the scene for special occasions. On the day of their wedding in Washington, DC, couples can get custom floral pieces from Petal DC. Before to discovering her passion and making it a job, owner MJ, a former event coordinator, used floral arrangements as a creative outlet. When creating stunning flower arrangements with the couple, MJ combines skill and an eye for design to further enhance the beauty of their special day. Petal DC offers distinctive flower design for the whole wedding, including bouquets and centerpieces. From regular floral arrangements intended to enhance and elevate a space to big and small celebrations. A unique touch is added by Petal DC to a range of clients and events.
