Flowers are a study in impermanence since they vary from day to day. Lisa views flowers as a representation of the beauty of life and a reminder to savor the moment. Growing up close to Natchez, Mississippi, and spending time with her boys in the nearby woods and fields, Lisa has always loved the outdoors. She has a great respect for the vines, branches, berries, and pods that she forages in order to elevate her arrangements from ordinary to extraordinary. Her mother and grandmothers, who raised roses, ranunculus, and hydrangeas and instilled in her a lifelong appreciation of beauty, taught her about flowers and gardening. Her garden-inspired aesthetic places an emphasis on unique blossoms scattered with unexpected elements, enticing the observer to pause and soak in the beauty of the natural world. After raising a family and a career in sales and marketing, Lisa felt compelled to tap into her innate creativity. She asked to be an apprentice for a renowned New Orleans flower designer in 2011 by getting in touch with him. He hired her, and she continued her schooling in the Bay Area of California as well as New York City. Her own flower design business, Petite Fleur by Lisa Brooking, was established in 2013. Her company has experienced phenomenal growth, mostly thanks to word of mouth. Lisa uses her love of the outdoors to craft each client's ideal, uniquely designed arrangements.
