Rachel O'Neil Event & Design

Rachel O'Neil Event is a floral design firm that specializes on weddings and special occasions. Rachel's second full-service floral business, The Flower Shoppe of Eric's, houses this creative work area. We are located in the center of Reading, Massachusetts, and we enjoy being a part of this wonderful community. Rachel has been working with flowers and plants for almost 20 years, starting as a cashier at Eric's Greenhouse when she was 14 years old. She spent her whole high school and college career working in a greenhouse or florist. She realized her passion was and would always be in the flower industry after changing majors (let's just say a few times). She worked in a variety of flower shops, where she was given fantastic design chances and learnt new things with each one. She had a gut feeling that opening her own shop was the right way to go. Then fate knocked on the door. Eric's Greenhouse was being closed down and the site was being sold by her previous and first boss. Rachel leaped at the chance to operate a shop in her hometown and buy the phone number. Eric's Flower Shoppe launched on February 4th, 2013, just 10 days before Valentine's Day, and it's been a frenzy ever since. The retail space adjacent to the shoppe became available in 2015. With Rachel's wedding business flourishing and the shoppe brimming with customers, it was time to take another risk and expand. Rachel O'Neil Event & Floral Design would now be able to focus on event business and meet with customers in its own facility. We developed 'The Flower WORKshoppe' in the spring of 2019 in response to consumer requests for classes. WE ARE NOW ABLE TO SAY WE DO! These seminars provide a pleasant and social floral design experience for our guests. Where kids may mingle in our creative area and take home something beautiful that they made themselves!
