Welcome to RUMALUTIONS, the development of Rum Cakes! I, like many others, enjoy rum cake, but for years all I had was the original, which became monotonous after a while. Don't get me wrong: the original is still excellent; nonetheless, change was required, and thus the process began! I decided to improve an original recipe given to me by my sister years ago. I wanted a cake that was flavorful but not overpowering, with just the appropriate amount of sweetness. I'd have the best rum I could find, but not one that would overshadow the cake's flavor, but rather one that would complement it perfectly. This cake needed to be moist, but not so much that the texture of the cake was lost. It needed to have a variety of textures and flavors. Starting from the top, you'll get a savory coating of a smooth rum glaze. The balance of a tasty moist cake would be in the middle. The bottom would be a blend of everything in one spot to take your taste buds and mind on a perfect pleasure journey. Every slice of rum cake contains its own unique sensation, energy, and emotion. Each cake is created with a different type of rum or a combination of rum and spirits. This generates an unrivaled flavor interaction; we defy the rules, rather than the law of rum cakes, and that is why we are so unique!
