After graduating with a degree in photography and journalism, Ruth began her career as a video producer working primarily in fashion and cosmetics and as the co-owner of Chelsea Garden Center in New York City. In 2000, she founded Ruth Lapin Events. With experience in video production and the garden industry, it was a logical transition after planning all her children’s Bar Mitzvahs and the weddings of many family members and friends. Initially, the vast majority were corporate events all over the world including corporate functions in Oslo, Tokyo, New Orleans, Berlin and San Francisco. Ruth loves planning events of all kinds, particularly Gay and Lesbian weddings. And best of all, she is fun to work with!
