Saba Restaurant

The signature restaurant of Pomegranate Hospitality is Saba. The Uptown New Orleans restaurant Saba, which translates to "Grandfather" in Hebrew, is a reflection of chef Alon Shaya's background and a journey through cuisine and drink that honors Israel's culinary scene. With Middle Eastern, European, and North African influences, Saba depicts a series of occasions when food and culture have collided, providing a taste of this always developing cuisine. Steps away from the table, wood-fired pita bread is made, absorbing flavors from, among others, Bulgaria, Yemen, Syria, Morocco, Turkey, Palestine, and Greece. In order to prepare family-style platters, Saba procures its seafood, meats, and produce from small farms in the New Orleans area. We work hard every day to uphold our team's key values of dependability, respect, creativity, passion, education, empowerment, fairness, and communication both within and beyond the restaurant.
