About Sandtown Pub Catering

The current proprietor, Fredericka Jones, got her start in the hospitality industry when she was just 14 years old. Her first employment was at Arby's in Greenville, South Carolina, where she worked as a Cashier. In a relatively short amount of time, and just after she received her high school diploma, Fredericka was promoted to the position of Shift Manager. Fredericka maintained her position as a Shift Manager at Arby's during her time at South Carolina State University, where she was a student. Fredericka was promoted to the position of assistant store manager shortly after she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and graduated from college in 1989. Soon after that, Fredericka received a promotion to the position of Store Manager, which she maintained until she made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia, in the year 1996. Once Fredericka settled in Atlanta, she found work as the Store Manager for a privately owned Arby's, a position she held until the year 2002. Fredericka started working for Taco Bell in 2002 in the position of Assistant Store Manager in the Atlanta location. A short while later, Fredericka was presented with the opportunity to run her own store. She was assigned a store to run that nobody else wanted because it was known as the problematic store. Fredericka was successful in turning that store into a model of efficiency in a little over a year's time. Under her direction, the restaurant rose to become one of Taco Bell's most successful locations. Fredericka received a promotion to opening Store Manager in the year 2003. During her time in this role, Fredericka was successful in opening three new stores in a shorter period than was previously possible. In 2008, Fredericka made the decision to quit Taco Bell to accept a position as a Store Manager with Cotton Enterprises. She had only been working for them for a short while when she was already given the position of Regional Director. Fredericka is well-known in the restaurant industry for her expertise in management and operations. 2010 was the year that she was honored with the Miller Tap Award for Sports Bar of the Year. In addition to that, Rolling Out Magazine bestowed upon her the Restaurant of the Year honor in the year 2011. Fredericka's maiden endeavor in the hospitality industry was the March 2013 opening of The Tavern at Campbellton Road. Her long-term objective is to be able to assist other minority businesswomen in successfully operating their companies.
