Sarah Duckworth Events

Sarah Duckworth Events is a full-service event design and planning firm that has extensive experience in the Carolinas in the field of hosting parties and other types of social gatherings. I blend the two in order to construct an event that is timeless and worry-free and that is unique to your story. My primary focus is on cultivating long-term connections with the vendors I work with and on building new relationships with my clients. Hi! I'm Sarah! My first job in the events industry was on the banquet crew at The Equinox, which is now part of the Luxury Collection Hotels, Resorts, and Spas. This was when I was still in high school. I sobbed at every maid of honor and best man speech, and to this day I still do. Working weddings was one of the most enjoyable things I've ever done, despite the hard hours. My studies at Johnson & Wales University, Charlotte, culminated in the awarding of a bachelor's degree in Sports Entertainment and Event Management in the year 2010. Since then, I have amassed more than 15 years of experience working in the sector for various companies, including those affiliated with the NBA, AHL, NFL, PGA, NASCAR, and Olympics. In 2018, I established Sarah Duckworth Events by fusing my enthusiasm for events with my love of designing and creating beautiful spaces, as well as my passion for interior design. There are a lot of aspects of my job that I enjoy, but the primary perk is that I get to contribute to the expansion of a community that places a strong emphasis on interpersonal connections. You may find me soaking up valuable time with my husband Markus, our son Harrison, and our two fur babies Leo and Lyla when I'm not busy planning weddings or putting out fires for my customers. When I'm not doing that, I'm organizing weddings.
