The majority of my couples complain that "we don't shoot well" or "we are awkward in front of the camera," and I must admit that this makes me incredibly happy because I know it doesn't have to be the case. I enjoy demonstrating to couples how we can collaborate to create a setting that highlights their natural connection and results in some stunning photographs. Even though I've been a photographer for more than 8 years, I don't think a week goes by that I don't pinch myself because I adore what I do. I sincerely hope I never take having access to people's most private and precious moments for granted. My family relocated from New Zealand when I was 16 years old, and although I currently work out of Seattle, I enjoy visiting other states and other countries to cover weddings and other events. We have a great time balancing working from home, raising our son Dakota, and caring for our lab/husky mix, Alaska, since I have a wonderful husband who is a cameraman.
