Sibby's Cupcakery

In 2004, Sibby Ross Thomsen established Sibby's Cupcakery with the intention of bringing joy and happiness to both her clientele and the surrounding community. In Topeka, Kansas, when she was only four years old, she and her mother began their career in the baking industry by making blueberry-peach pies. As an adult, she worked in advertising for ten years while honing her cupcake recipes on the side, and it wasn't until she was ready to take the plunge that she decided to pursue her passion for baking and decorating on a full-time basis. The San Francisco Bakers Dozen is a non-profit organization that brings together baking professionals and enthusiasts from all over the Bay Area. Sibby is a member of the board that oversees the organization. Sibby's Cupcakery has been featured in numerous local and national publications, including San Francisco Modern Bride, Daily Candy, and Lucky Magazine, which named it one of the best places for baked goods in Northern California. The San Francisco Bay Guardian referred to it as "the cupcake center of the universe." The readers of Bay Area Parent magazine have consistently awarded the title of "Best Party Food/Caterer on the Peninsula" to Sibby's Cupcakery from 2015 through 2021.
