Stemming from Sheena's overwhelming love for nature, Slow Darling is a floral design company that specializes in romantic, nature-inspired arrangements. Each design is inspired by the seasons of the earth and created with a sustainable and conscious intention. Each design has its own unique story to tell. In her one-of-a-kind arrangements, Slow Darling incorporates texture, movement, and color theory to create arrangements that defy the passage of time. Although Sheena was born and raised in the sooner state, most of her life has been spent in the latter. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Nutritional Sciences and worked as a dietitian for a few years before falling in love with the world of flowers and starting her own business. Her journey began modestly and organically, as most worthwhile endeavors do! After starting out as a self-taught florist, she moved on to a part-time position arranging flowers in the grocery store, and has since worked as a freelance floral designer for a number of Dallas florists. Slow Darling came to fruition in 2019 and has been blossoming in the years that have followed. Instead of slinging flowers, Sheena enjoys spending quality time with her husband, dog, and two cats. She also enjoys gardening and attending live music performances.
