Soul Rebels

The Soul Rebels are having a great year in 2019. They recently performed with Katy Perry and DMX, were mentioned on NPR's Tiny Desk series, made their first appearance on a late-night talk show on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and headlined the TED Conference. The band is currently touring four continents, including Europe, Australia, China, South Korea, and Japan, as part of its ongoing international expansion. In-person collaborations with artists like Nas, G-Eazy, Robin Thicke, Macy Gray, and Portugal have resulted from their dynamic stage presence. To build on the radio pop they adored and the New Orleans brass tradition they grew up with, the Soul Rebels set out with an idea. They adopted that custom and incorporated jazz, rock, hip-hop, soul, and funk into a brass band setting. The group's varied live performances, which combine horns, percussion, and a deep pocket funk party vibe, have helped them establish a successful career. The Soul Rebels continue to break new ground as they play in important movies, travel the world, and blend outstanding musicianship with songs that honor dancing, life, funk, and soul. The Soul Rebels recently finished recording their new album, Poetry in Motion, due out in the fall of 2019. The album will make the band the center of attention while showcasing the variety of musical genres and unique partnerships that have come to characterize the band's musical chameleon-like nature.
