Splendidly Flavored

I've always liked food and was concerned about how it appeared on my plate. Even when I was a kid. My mother used to mock me about how I was as a kid when I was older. She predicted that if my taco shell or hot dog bun split, I'd cry. Until a few years ago, I would just laugh it off. As I grew older, I discovered that presentation is everything and that it is really important to me. "You eat with your eyes first!" I always say. That accurately expresses my feelings regarding eating throughout my life. & it wasn't until that saying just kind of tumbled out of my mouth in conversation one day, without even thinking about it, that it dawned on me. Having said that, Splendidly Flavored began as a culinary blog. I needed to free up space on my phone a few years back, and I had this enormous album of beautifully prepared cuisine that I had cooked or eaten at restaurants. I couldn't get rid of them. As strange as it may sound, I wanted to save the photos since they were meaningful to me. So I started Splendidly Flavored and shared them on Instagram. That first week, I received such a wonderful welcome, with close to 200 followers. I was entirely ignorant that there was an entire gastronomic community on Instagram. That kind of encouragement was what kept me going. Splendidly Flavored returned to catering in 2019. I went to a Vision Board gathering where everyone had to present their talents and entrepreneurial goals. Do you realize how close I came to saying "nothing"? But, happily, when it came time for me to speak, I opted to add that I was a good cook. By stepping outside of my comfort zone and saying those words, I was able to transform my life and embark on the most satisfying journey I've ever experienced. Which one is this?
