Suterland Weddings

Abby Broughton, lead planner and designer, creates lovely, thoughtful weddings all around the Lowcountry. Abby tries to create distinctive, unforgettable experiences for all of her couples while keeping them at ease and smiling throughout the whole planning process. She has over 12 years of experience in the wedding and event industry. Since she can remember, Abby has had a deep-seated passion for all things related to planning, organizing, and events. She shadowed a lot of Raleigh, North Carolina wedding and event planners while in school. Abby also spent some time selling, creating, and placing orders for wedding stationery at a high-end paper boutique. With a focus on tourism and commercial recreation, Abby graduated with a degree in parks, recreation, and tourism management. After finishing school, she moved from the Triangle to the Lowcountry and started making new connections in the Charleston wedding market. After moving, Abby began her work at The Dewberry Hotel and Duvall Catering & Events. Later, she joined Chancey Charm, a well-known wedding planning company with a Charleston location, and Suterland Weddings was created! Abby works as a freelance florist for a number of area wedding + event florists in between weddings for her own clientele.
