Founder Maggie Remudo is an Argentinean architect who lives with her husband and four children in Washington, DC. After fifteen years of working in architectural design in Argentina and the United States, she founded The Cake and the Frog. Maggie's love of art and design led her to a successful career as an architect before pursuing her dream of creating her own company. Leaving her work was a leap of faith, and her company grew out of her creativity and a desire to share her passion for handcrafting and enjoying life in all of its forms. Maggie's creation, The Cake and the Frog, is inspired by the vision her clients bring to every occasion, which Maggie transforms into one-of-a-kind experiences to enjoy with our loved ones. We invite you to express your views and opinions, and we hope that our cakes encourage you to experience the excitement and wonder of living a creative life. Our standard cakes stand between 4.5" and 5" tall and have three layers of filling. We utilize only the finest ingredients to ensure that our cakes taste as delicious as they look. Our cakes are first covered in chocolate ganache, then vanilla fondant is rolled on top. All of the decorations are edible. For modeling, we utilize fondant, marzipan, and gum paste. We don't have a physical location, but we do cater out of a private kitchen. Throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia, we deliver. All of our cakes are made to order, so please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. However, depending on the current week's workload, there may be some flexibility, so don't hesitate to contact us even if your request is not within the timeframe.
