Darcha Exum, the owner, works for the federal government as a statistician. Her schooling includes a bachelor's degree in economics from Spelman College and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Georgia. ​ Darcha has always been adept and eager about arranging and organizing events and excursions outside of her day work. Itineraries are essential for each occasion, and according to her, an hour-by-hour schedule makes everyone's life easier. The Miah Luke Company was founded after she realized that her dream of combining her passion and skills to create a successful business could become a reality. ​ Darcha has coordinated weddings and events all around Georgia. Her portfolio includes events for groups of 30 people and up, held in a variety of indoor and outdoor venues ranging from luxurious to rustic to boho and everything in between.
