About The Tallest Tulip
Ashley Wallace, CFD, is the owner of The Tallest Tulip, a floral design studio specializing in event floral design in Houston, Texas. She has earned the prestigious Certified Floral Designer designation from the America Institute of Floral Designers, which is internationally recognized and respected. Ashley is also a member of the Texas State Florists' Association, and she has completed certification courses in floral design, wedding design, and floral business administration. In addition to weddings and corporate events, The Tallest Tulip designs for most Houston wedding venues as well as for several Fortune 100 company events in the Houston area. Besides floral design workshops, The Tallest Tulip also provides floral design services for their clients at their studio and at client events. The Tallest Tulip's Design studio is located in Missouri City, Texas, in the Sienna Plantation neighborhood. Those who visit will be able to observe them in action and will also have the opportunity to meet Kiwi, the team's pet kakariki parrot. Aside from her husband Jim, Ashley lives in Sienna Plantation with their daughter Charlotte and an assortment of pets. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications. Ashley and her best friend Kristin relocated to New York after graduating from college. She passed a flower shop on her way to the subway every day as she walked through her Upper East Side neighborhood. It was while she was stopping there each morning to look into the windows filled with tulips, peonies, and daffodils that her dream began to take shape. - What is your process?
- When we receive your request, we will check our calendar to see if we have the date available. We take a limited number of events per weekend. If the date is available, we will schedule a time to meet in our studio or speak with you over the phone about your style preferences and colors.
- Do you have a minimum?
- Our Full Scope Wedding Design service requires a minimum of $3,000 budget for wedding flowers (for 2021 wedding dates). For smaller weddings or a budget under $3,000 (for 2021 wedding dates), we also offer an A La Carte service.
- Where do you provide services?
- Our studio is located in Sienna Plantation in Southwest Houston. BUT, we cover the entire Houston area and will travel for weddings and events.
- Can I pick specific flowers for my event/wedding?
- During our in-person consultation we will discuss the shape, texture and color choices for your flowers. You can absolutely suggest favorite flowers that we will make all possible and reasonable efforts to obtain.
- Can I buy individual or a la carte arrangements or flowers?
- Yes! We offer a curated collection of arrangements available for purchase in our Shop.
