About Transformative Tides
Founded in 2024
Transformative Tides offers professionally facilitated sound bath experiences for private gatherings, corporate events, and milestone celebrations throughout the Greater St. Louis area. Led by Erika Hood — sound facilitator, somatic-oriented coach, and certified listener poet — each session creates a calm, shared listening environment using crystal singing bowls, chimes, and low-frequency resonance tones. These experiences are designed to bring a rare moment of quiet into the flow of an event. Guests simply settle in, rest, and listen while layered acoustic sound fills the space. Some choose to lie down, others sit comfortably — participation is relaxed and entirely optional. Transformative Tides sessions are low-pressure, consent-based, and accessible to first-time participants. No prior experience or special preparation is required. Erika provides all instruments, sound equipment, facilitation, and setup. Hosts and planners remain free to enjoy the event while the session unfolds. Sound bath experiences can be integrated into a variety of gatherings, including bridal showers, retreats, staff appreciation events, wellness-focused celebrations, and small private groups. Based in St. Peters, Missouri, Transformative Tides serves clients throughout St. Charles County, St. Louis County, and the surrounding region.

FAQs 9
- What happens during a sound bath?
- Guests settle in sitting, lying down, or resting in a chair. After a brief orientation, the session unfolds through live acoustic sound created with crystal singing bowls, chimes, and resonance instruments. Guests simply listen and rest until a gentle closing transition.
- Do guests need prior experience with sound baths or meditation?
- Not at all. Sound baths are designed to be accessible for first-timers and returning participants alike. Guests are simply invited to listen and rest in whatever way feels comfortable.
- What do guests need to bring?
- Guests often bring a yoga mat, blanket, or pillow so they can lie down comfortably, though sitting in a chair is always welcome. Hosts sometimes include a simple “BYO mat & blanket” note in invitations.
- What kind of space is needed for a session?
- Sound baths work well in many environments, including living rooms with furniture moved aside, conference rooms, yoga studios, or quiet outdoor spaces (weather permitting). A clear floor area where guests can sit or lie comfortably is ideal.
- Are there any health considerations guests should know about?
- Guests with sound sensitivity, neurological conditions, metal implants, pregnancy, or other health considerations are welcome to reach out before booking. Sound bath sessions are complementary listening experiences and are not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
