I grew up learning to bake from both of my grandmothers in Louisiana. Southern food has tradition and soul in it, and that's what I bring to Chicago in my baking. My love for baking began at a young age, although growing up I made a lot more messes than masterpieces in the kitchen. Since then, I knew that my passion for sweets and baking would always be a part of my life. After studying Nutrition in graduate school, I realized I wanted to help others learn about the importance of the quality of the food that they put into their body. Who said sweets have to be full of junk?
