Melissa Varnell, who was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, has always had a deep passion for the wedding industry. Melissa made the decision to get her certificate in floral design so that she could continue to exercise her creative side even while working in an office setting. Not only did it provide her with the much-needed outlet for her creativity, but it also rekindled the love of weddings that she had sorely missed having in her life. Wisteria Designs went from being a dream to a reality after her husband, who is very supportive, was involved in the conversation at length. When it comes to event planning, it is never easy to figure out where to begin!
