Writer's Block Publishing

I was appointed the Hillsborough Poet Laureate for 2016-2018. The ceremony was held at the Hillsborough Arts Council and took place on July 1, 2016. Since 2016, I have helped create platforms for poets to share their work throughout Hillsborough and its surrounding cities. I have also placed amongst the top artist in North Carolina at the Coast to Coast Live artist showcase that was held in Greensboro, NC in May of 2016. I have been fortunate enough to be acknowledged in the News of Orange, Chapel Hill Magazine, Princeton University. I have also presented my work in a Michigan Art Contest, ArtPrize, where I was awarded the Black Contemporary Artist award. My most recent publications are Broken Perception, Falling Apples, and Lost Poems. I have expanded my talent by typing poems for passerbyers on demand on my 1967 typewriter. This exchange inspired him to continue to purchase and repair old typewriters, now he has over 15 working machines that he uses to teach writing at schools and his local farmers market. I have typed over 20000 poems in the past year and half, sharing my work at Book Festivals, Colleges, Coffee Shops, Weddings, and everywhere I am welcomed.
