Rooted In Activism 2930 E Jefferson began its current chapter as a nexus for the cannabis legalization movement in 2010. After the successful campaign to legalize medical cannabis in 2008, activist attorney Matthew Abel purchased the building in Detroit's Rivertown District as a home for Cannabis Counsel® Law Firm, the oldest and first cannabis only law firm in the country. A Gathering Place For Change The building was a major meeting place for cannabis legalization petitions in 2012, 2016, and the successful 2018 Legalization initiative The building quickly became a space where activists, political leaders, and medical patients could come together, meet, and advocate for change. Continuing the Tradition The 29Thirty Event Center continues to be a place where MI's Cannabis Community can come together, advocate for change, network, and innovate in America's fastest growing industry With regular activities like lifted yoga, Game Night, Karaoke, Taste Budz Pop-Up Diner, and special monthly activities, 29Thirty continues to provide a one of a kind experience to everyone who comes to visit!
