A.B. Ford Park

The Community Center at A.B. Ford Park anchors a 34-acre east-riverfront park in Detroit's Jefferson-Chalmers neighborhood. Recognized as Detroit's first climate-resilient community center, the building opened in 2023 and offers a range of indoor spaces for private gatherings and events. A large multipurpose recreation and event space with expansive windows overlooking the Detroit River serves as the main hall, complemented by a living room and library area with a fireplace, a Kitchen Lab and Classroom, and dedicated community meeting rooms. The center is available to rent for private parties, celebrations, and other events.
