Albuquerque Country Club

Albuquerque Country Club is one of New Mexico's oldest private clubs, founded in April 1914 by 22 local businessmen on a five-hole course near the University of New Mexico. The club relocated in 1927 to a 100-acre property with access to irrigation from the nearby Rio Grande, giving rise to the tree-lined championship course and the canopy of grand cottonwood trees that define the grounds today. The historic clubhouse, built in 1928 and later renovated by architect John Gaw Meem, reflects the rich architectural traditions of Old Albuquerque while offering modern amenities. Its spacious Ballroom — with large windows and an open, airy feel — serves as the setting for weddings, banquets, and private celebrations accommodating up to 200 guests. In-house catering is led by an ACF Certified Chef, with plated meals, buffets, and customized menus available. A dedicated bridal suite is on hand for wedding parties. Beyond events, the club offers an 18-hole championship golf course, four tennis courts, a fitness facility, and a 25-meter Junior Olympic swimming pool — resources that give members and their guests a full range of activities year-round.
