Altstadt Brewery

Altstadt Brewery is a European-style brewery and event destination set in the heart of the Texas Hill Country in historic Fredericksburg, Texas. Named the 2026 Texas Craft Brewers Cup Brewery of the Year, it brews classic German styles for Texas and pairs them with internationally inspired dishes from an award-winning executive chef, all in a Bavarian-inspired setting. Beyond the brewery, Altstadt is a full-service venue for life celebrations, hosting engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, weddings, corporate gatherings, and farewell brunches across several distinct spaces. These include the Grand Hall with its German-style seating and walk-up bar, the Rathskellar basement bar with red leather chairs and cozy nooks, and an expansive Biergarten and patio overlooking the rolling Hill Country and Texas sunsets. Additional areas such as the Ceremony Garden, Bridal Suite, and Groom's Library round out the wedding offerings. Every event includes chairs, tables, linens, silver, and china, with catering available family-style, plated, or as specialty options. Private brewery tours, custom menus, and fireworks can be added to enhance the celebration.
