Alverthorpe Manor

Alverthorpe Manor is the private event venue of Abington Art Center, set on a 27-acre campus in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania that includes a sculpture park and nature trail. The manor was once the home of art collector Lessing Rosenwald, whose belief that art should be shared with the public still shapes the organization today. Couples and hosts can choose from a covered outdoor pavilion with closeable side walls and a heated floor for year-round use, curated indoor art galleries suited to cocktail hours and receptions, and lawn space for ceremonies, with two private manor dressing suites available for wedding-party preparation. A historic, speakeasy-inspired basement bar is also available pending availability. Tables and chairs for up to 180 guests are included with a rental, along with a complimentary one-year membership to the Art Center. Alverthorpe Manor allows outside caterers and food trucks, and connects hosts with a network of trusted vendors rather than requiring an all-inclusive package. As a nonprofit, rental proceeds support the Art Center's mission of keeping the arts accessible to the community.
