Antique Boat Museum

The Antique Boat Museum occupies a 4.5-acre waterfront campus in Clayton, New York, along the St. Lawrence River in the Thousand Islands region. Established in the 1960s and chartered under its current name in 1990, the museum is a nationally recognized institution dedicated to preserving North American maritime heritage. The campus encompasses ten exhibition buildings with 29,000 square feet of exhibits, 1,900 feet of dockage, and 1,300 feet of river shoreline. For private events, the museum offers a range of waterfront spaces — from open-sided porches overlooking the river to a large 80-by-40-foot tent and a fully covered yacht house featuring the in-water antique boat fleet. Event spaces accommodate groups of up to 60 guests, and the riverside setting makes weddings the museum's most popular rental type. Second-floor meeting rooms serve smaller corporate gatherings and retreats.
