April Sound Country Club has a long and illustrious history that dates back to 1973. April Sound was built around our world-class tennis facility, and within six months of opening, we hosted the first of many celebrity tennis tournaments, bringing in celebrities such as Glen Campbell, Phyllis Diller, and Lloyd Bridges to play. Don Massengale, the club's first golf professional, hosted Arnold Parlmer in an exhibition match here to commemorate the club's first 18-hole course's opening in 1974. A third nine-hole course was quickly added to the club, further solidifying our position as the premier golf and tennis destination in the area, according to club officials. The private events team is available to assist you with the planning of your event. Our Club offers beautiful private dining rooms for a variety of events and occasions.
