The Arizona History Museum occupies a Josias Joesler-designed territorial-style building at 949 E. 2nd Street in Tucson, near the University of Arizona's main gate. The museum is operated by the Arizona Historical Society, which was established by the First Territorial Legislature in 1864, making it Arizona's oldest historical agency. As the largest AHS museum in the state, it houses collections spanning more than 300 years of Arizona history — from the Spanish colonial period through statehood — including artifacts and stories connected to figures such as Geronimo and Wyatt Earp. The museum offers several distinct spaces for private events, from corporate gatherings to weddings. The Treasures Gallery accommodates up to 175 guests and opens onto the Pioneer Courtyard, an outdoor space with replica 1800s patios that hosts up to 100 guests. A 2,500-square-foot Auditorium seats up to 170 guests, and a 1,400-square-foot Lobby accommodates up to 150. Combined, the venue can host events for up to 300 guests. A dedicated facility rental coordinator supports event planning, and the museum's historic character provides a distinctive backdrop for celebrations of all kinds.
