Art Works Studio and Galleries

Art Works is a full-service community art center in the Manchester district of Richmond, Virginia. Founded in 2003 by owner Glenda Kotchish, who saw the potential for the neighborhood to become a vibrant creative community, the center was built to be inclusive to all artists and the public. The center houses 82 artist studios and 6 galleries showing contemporary work from local and international artists, with free admission Tuesday through Sunday. On the fourth Friday of each month, Art Works hosts an opening reception where new exhibits are unveiled and studios open to visitors, alongside recurring programs like figure drawing sessions. The center also operates RVA Thriving Artists, a nonprofit initiative supporting the local arts community. Street parking is available near the building, with additional parking in the public garage one block away on East 5th Street.
