FAQs 8

Do I have to use your caterers?: Any caterer is permitted, and hosts may bring in their own food for private events. Events open to the public require a food permit from the City of Plano.
May we have alcohol? Do we have to purchase it from the ArtCentre?: Alcohol is allowed at events, and hosts may bring their own or have it provided by a caterer. Under Texas law, a TABC-certified server is required if alcohol is being sold at the event.
When serving alcohol, do I have to use your security personnel?: Security personnel are only needed when serving liquor; beer and wine are treated differently. Hosts may provide their own security with proper documentation or use the venue's referred security, which is reasonably priced.
What are the cleaning requirements?: Setup and cleanup are the responsibility of the group using the ArtCentre, and the building should be left the way it was found.
Are tables and chairs available?: Saigling House provides 100 chairs, nine 60-inch round tables, and ten 8-foot rectangular tables with each rental.
