About Artisans

Chef Jacques Fox was born in the North African city of "Sidi-Bel-Abbes" and raised in France by his Polish grandparents. Even before graduating from high school, Chef Jacques Fox demonstrated an early aptitude for cooking. Following high school, Chef Jacques enrolled in a two-year program at the College D'Enseignement Techniques in Tulle, France, to further his culinary education. When Chef Jacques graduated from his training program in 1975, he relocated to Paris, where he accepted his first chef position at Maison Prunier, a world-renowned seafood restaurant. In 1976, he joined Elitair Maxims, where he worked for four years before being promoted to executive chef. After leaving Paris in 1983, Chef Jacques went to work for Club Mediterrainnee (Club Med), where he had the opportunity to further develop his culinary skills and understanding of global cuisine at luxury resorts around the world, including those in Kamarina, Sicily; Noumea, New Caledonia; Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Farakulafushi, Maldives; Kos, Greece; Eilat, Israel; Cooper Mountain, United States; and Les Menuires et (Click on the "read more" link above to learn more.) The "Medieval Room I" can accommodate up to 12 people, while the "Medieval Room II" can accommodate up to 10 people. When the "Medieval Rooms" are combined, they can accommodate a total of 24 people. In the Artisans Restaurant's two Medieval Rooms, you'll find the intimate, hidden charm of a private dining room or the inner sanctum of a grand estate, all in one place. Intimate gatherings and special occasions will be enhanced by the use of wood paneled walls and low ceilings, as well as over-sized farmhouse tables and the soft glow of custom chandeliers. In addition to being extremely comfortable, the padded chairs provide an up-close and personal view of the kitchen as the Artisans prepare your innovative and eclectic cuisine. The Artisans Restaurant offers exquisite Private Dining Rooms that are ideal for accommodating parties of all sizes, including wedding parties. We have a variety of options for meetings, special occasions, and dinner parties to choose from. Please read about our La Veranda and Le Salon rooms if you are planning a large gathering.
