Bar Harbor Club

The Bar Harbor Club is a historic Tudor-style private club on the grounds of the Harborside Hotel in Bar Harbor, Maine, operating seasonally from May through October. Originally built by J.P. Morgan in 1930, the property became a gathering place for the island's most illustrious summer residents and was restored and reopened in 2009. The club hosts weddings, receptions, and private events for groups of 10 to 300 guests across its oceanfront setting on Frenchman Bay. The centerpiece for events is the Stotesbury Ballroom, a 4,200-square-foot space with panoramic bay views and an outdoor patio. The adjacent Ceremony Lawn accommodates outdoor ceremonies for up to 300 guests against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean. Beyond event spaces, the club offers a full-service spa, oceanfront pool and hot tub, clay tennis courts, and a modern fitness center — amenities that give guests and wedding parties a complete retreat on Mount Desert Island.
